FastAPI Async Dev Stack

The full async Python web stack assembled and configured. FastAPI, Celery workers, Flower monitoring, Postgres, Redis, and Adminer — all six services wired together with Alembic for migrations and async SQLAlchemy for non-blocking DB access.

What's Included

• FastAPI with Uvicorn — async HTTP server on port 8000
• Celery worker connected to Redis broker for background task processing
• Flower dashboard for real-time Celery task monitoring
• Postgres 16 as the primary data store
• Redis 7 as both Celery broker and result backend
• Adminer for visual DB management

Developer Experience

• Async SQLAlchemy session factory pre-configured with asyncpg driver
• Alembic pre-initialized — run docker compose exec app alembic upgrade head to apply migrations
• Uvicorn --reload flag active in dev mode — code changes take effect immediately
• Celery and FastAPI share the same app package — tasks import cleanly without circular deps
• Flower accessible at port 5555 with no auth required in dev
