ElastiCache Redis Cluster Stack

A CloudFormation template for a production ElastiCache Redis cluster. Automatic failover enabled, a custom parameter group tuned for caching workloads (eviction policy, max memory, lazy freeing), CloudWatch alarms on the metrics that actually matter, and strict VPC-only access.

What's Included

• Replication Group — multi-AZ cluster with automatic failover to a replica
• Custom Parameter Group — maxmemory-policy allkeys-lru, lazy freeing enabled, notify-keyspace-events configured for expiry
• Subnet Group — places cache nodes in private subnets across two AZs
• Security Group — port 6379 open only to a configurable application security group
• CloudWatch Alarms — CacheHits, CacheMisses, Evictions, CurrConnections, ReplicationLag, and FreeableMemory
• Outputs — primary endpoint and reader endpoint exported as CloudFormation outputs for cross-stack references

Requirements

AWS CLI configured, existing VPC with private subnets in at least two AZs, and the security group ID of your application that will connect to Redis.
