Aurora Serverless v2 Stack

A CloudFormation template that stands up an Aurora Serverless v2 Postgres cluster with everything you need to use it immediately. Auto-scaling ACUs configured, the Data API enabled so you can query without managing connections, credentials in Secrets Manager, and an EC2 Bastion Host to bootstrap your schema before your app is deployed.

What's Included

• Aurora Serverless v2 Cluster — Postgres-compatible, scales from minimum to maximum ACUs you specify
• Data API — enabled by default; query the cluster with signed HTTP requests, no persistent connection needed
• Secrets Manager — master credentials stored and rotated automatically; cluster auto-linked for RDS native rotation
• Parameter Groups — cluster and instance parameter groups pre-tuned for serverless workloads
• Bastion Host — small EC2 instance in a public subnet with SSM Session Manager access; no inbound SSH needed
• Security Groups — cluster accepts traffic from app SG and bastion SG only

Requirements

AWS CLI configured, existing VPC with private and public subnets, and an EC2 key pair if you prefer SSH over SSM for the bastion.
